Contamination in the air
Modern production processes demand a high level of air quality that requires the elimination of contamination and vapour from the system.
Contamination sources are automotive and jet engines, power plants, industrial plants and even generated by the nature.
Vapour, dust, unburned hydrocarbons, industrial exhausts, natural pollution, e.g. bacteria, pollen. (1 m3 atmospheric pressure, R.H. 100% air contains 23 gramms of water at 25 °C.) After compression these pollutants are enriched in the ratio of compression and further amount of oil is added to the air stream by the compressor lubrication system.
The compressed air distribution system can also add contamination in the form of pipescale and rust.
Polluted air reduce operational efficiency, increase maintenance costs and possibility of product spoilage. The importance of dust- and oil-free, low dew point air generation is no question for the users any more.
