CEDES is a professional solution provider for more comfort and safety in the passenger area of the elevator as well as sensors for control and safety in the elevator shaft. 1. Through beam light sensorThe CEDES ELS family is well-known in the market as a high-quality, inexpensive through-beam sensor. There are various applications involving the ELS (also well-known as a photo cell) in which individual or dual light curtain systems are utilised. Dual light curtain systems are often installed to ensure the safety of automatic doors. The evaluation unit of an ELS system can optimally analyse one or two light beams. Using the latest technology, CEDES guarantees the reliability of the ELS 268 and ELS 269 for the entire service life of a system. The intensity of the infrared light is continually adjusted to the optimum output, ensuring LED longevity. The compact size of the sensor head, the simple “snap-in” mechanism and the broad aperture angle facilitate installation. The function of the light curtain itself is not influenced by maximum sunlight (about 100'000 lux).

close 4. Relay moduleThe relay module is the ideal device to allow the switching of higher voltages and/or larger currents on sensors with semi-conductor outputs. This is a requirement if e.g. modern sensors must be connected to older door drive controllers which need a potential free output contact and/or a higher breaking capacity.
close 5. Vestibule MonitoringThe 3D monitoring system cegard/3D from CEDES combines the advantages of two independant sensor systems. The first is the two-dimensional door protection required by all elevators. The cegard/3D then adds a sensor to monitor the area in front of the elevator. The three-dimensional detection area remains constant and focused on the critical area between the car and landing door during door closure. Therefore, people and objects are reliably detected during the entire door closure process and false openings are minimized. If the sensor above the elevator doors detects a person or object which has moved into the area being monitored, a signal is sent to the door controller. The doors can then be reopened in sufficient time to avoid injuries or damage to objects. The modular design of the system means that current door safeguarding carried out by only a light curtain system can be inexpensively upgraded to a 3D system.
